I power walk on my lunch almost every day and am easily making the 10,000 steps.  Actually it's amazing how many steps you take just walking around the office in a day.  This is a wonderful program and walking is so healthy!

I finished logging my accumulated results taken since last February & what I immediately noticed was the cummulative tracking feature! While I have been a diligent walker for many years I was still surprised at how many kilometers I had accomplished since joining--great stuff!

This is a great program! It has my whole family walking and staying active. We have also become a little competitive checking each others pedometers to see who has the most steps in a day! Thanks!

I am so proud to be part of the New West Walks program. At first the idea of walking 1 million steps seemed so far and now as I am rounding towards my 2 million step marker, I feel that I can accomplish a walk to Ottawa and start on my return trip before the year is through.  My daughters and  I really enjoy our walking and talking time together and it has been very beneficial in contributing to a healthy happy lifestyle.  We love the community walks that take place monthly and are looking forward to many more throughout the year.  We are very lucky to be part of such a great community program.

Just got back from  vacationing on Kauai & Oahu.... I did  616,178 steps in the 4 weeks....My best day was 37,548!! Also had 3 other 30,000 days!! We found
that we would walk a little further, and then a little further just to get more
steps, & to break our own records!! Of course, we came
back to the snow, & that reduced our steps dramatically!! Great program.

Joined up this week with my boyfriend....we are excited about this program
and it makes us motivated and challenged.  We are always checking our
pedometers to see who is leading.....it's fun...and we are getting lots laughs
daily....thanks....out on the dyke today in Pitt Meadows for our 1 hour
fast pace which ended up being approximately 6800 steps....it was a
beautiful sunshining day and the lots of birds to watch....

I registered after work last night and put on my pedometer right away.  I walked 4kms before bedtime!  With two or three walks with my dog each day I'm really excited to see how far we go.  Whistler here we come!
