Welcome to "New West Walks", an on-line tracking tool to help you on your way to good health!

 

Use your pedometer, set a goal, and remember to log your steps and activity.  The program is fun and easy to use.  Make sure to watch the tutuorial before you begin and rely on the "HELP" function if you experience any difficulties or have any questions.  Walk, run, cycle.....

IMPORTANT NEW WEST WALKS ANNOUNCEMENT

This announcement is to inform you that as of September 1, 2010, we will be discontinuing the New West Walks website.  After three years, almost 1400 users, and a total of 796,224,623 steps, our on-line program will come to an end.  The program was designed to build an awareness of the importance of physical activity and we feel we have been successful in helping more people become active and fit.

 

This will not be the end to New West Walks.  We will continue to offer FREE community walks in the various neighbourhoods in New Westminster (information will be released on all the Fall walks in early September) and a New West Walks package will continue to be available for purchase.  It includes a pedometer, walking tips and maps and is available for $6.00 from Centennial Community Centre.  Replacement pedometers will also continue to be available.

 

Please continue to stay active!  The benefits are immense!  I have been so amazed at your success stories and it’s been a pleasure to have been your support for this program.
